THE RACE
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
The Maasmarathon starting and finishing lines are on the Place de Visé's main market square, at the centre of the city of the goose (signposted access)

CIRCUIT
The Maasmarathon is a unique circuit at the centre of Europe.
A 42.195 km loop measured according to IAAF rules, taking the quiet paths, and charming scenic rural roads along the river Meuse, whilst crossing through villages and famous historical centres, such as the centre of Maastricht, Eijsden castle and Visé centre.
It is recognized as INTERNATIONAL IAAF MARATHON

Circuit measured according to IAAF rules.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The race is under the supervision of TRANS AMBU.
First-aid stations are located at the feeding stations, at 20, 25 30 and 35 km.
Specialist doctors follow the race on motorcycles
SUPPLIES
8 Stands are located every 5 km.
They are organised as follows :
• Table 1 personal drinks and supplies
• Table 2 bananas, oranges, currants, gingerbread
• Table 3 water
• Table 4 isotonic drinks
Personal drinks are to be provided at the registration stand in the tent before 9 am on the day when the race starts
SPONGING STATIONS
7 sponging stations are located between the supplies stations.
WITHDRAWAL
The runner who give up has to go to a supplies stand
SIGNALLERS
They are a warranty for the security of the runners.
It is mandatory to follow their indications
SANITATION
Sanitation facilities are located at Start ,Km 21 and 32and at the arrival.
TECHNICAL ORGANISATION
- 400 volunteers and signallers
- 30 first-aid workers, doctors and physiotherapists
- 22 police officers
- 9 motorcyclists
- 4 technical trucks
- 8 transport vehicles
- 1000 nadar fences
- 500 signal cones
- 10.000 litres of water
- 1000 litres of isotonic drinks.

The organisators offer you the possibility to follow experienced runners whose goal is to finish the marathon in a certain time........
